Malaysia coach Brad Maloney praised the Vietnamese team and said Malaysian players will do their best in the upcoming game.

Vietnam coach Park Hang-seo said his team will secure victory if they are able to put up a solid defence and capitalise on oppoturnities.

In the group stage, Vietnam topped Group A and will face Malaysia, the Group B runner-up. The Vietnam-Malaysia match will kick off at 7pm on Thursday in Phu Tho province’s Viet Tri Stadium. The other semi-final match, between U23 Thailand and U23 Indonesia, will take place at Thien Truong Stadium in Nam Dinh earlier Thursday.
