The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said restrictions on the quantity and quality of materials allowed into Gaza are further worsening conditions for displaced civilians. OCHA said sustained access to essential supplies is urgently needed, and warned that vulnerable families must be given safe, weather resistant shelter before winter begins.

The UN Human Rights Office said Tuesday that Israeli attacks have intensified in recent days, striking civilian infrastructure in densely populated areas. According to that office, Israeli forces killed at least 57 people, including women and children, between July 13 and July 20.
