These doses which arrived in Vietnam on Saturday were delivered through COVAX Facility and came directly from the Pfizer manufacturing plant in the US.

With an aim to strengthen Vietnam’s capacity to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, Washington and Hanoi continue to build on their longstanding cooperation with more than 1 billion USD investment from the US in Vietnam’s health infrastructure.

In addition to presenting Vietnam with 7.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, the US has committed 26.7 million USD in aid to help Vietnam respond to the pandemic.
