The meeting was part of Man’s official visit to China, during which he co-chaired the second session of the Cooperation Committee between Vietnam’s National Assembly and China’s National People’s Congress.
Discussing future cooperation, Man proposed stronger strategic infrastructure links, particularly rail connections, and called for faster progress on railway lines connecting the two countries to facilitate travel and exchanges.
He also called for easier access to the Chinese market for Vietnamese goods and agricultural products, stronger cooperation at border crossings, expanded smart-border-gate systems, and new cross-border economic cooperation zones.
The top legislator emphasized cooperation in science, technology, innovation, and advanced workforce training, particularly in artificial intelligence, smart cities, and smart manufacturing. He said Vietnam’s National Assembly would work with the government and Chinese agencies to exchange expertise and improve the legal framework for bilateral cooperation.
Welcoming Man’s proposals, Premier Li called for faster construction of standard-gauge rail lines aligned with China’s regional development strategies, better road and waterway links, and expanded cooperation on smart border crossings, cross-border economic zones, and energy.
Li said China was ready to expand market access for high-quality Vietnamese goods and agricultural products and strengthen cooperation on inspection and quarantine. He welcomed Vietnam’s role as the featured country in the “Big Market for All: Export to China” initiative and encouraged qualified Chinese companies to invest in Vietnam.
