Ndikuriyo is leading a high-ranking CNDD-FDD delegation on an official visit to Vietnam from Monday to Friday.
Mr. Trung said Vietnam and Burundi should strengthen solidarity and play a greater role in maintaining peace and stability in their respective region and globally, thereby creating favorable conditions for achieving their development goals.
He proposed that the two Parties develop specific cooperation plans, step up exchanges and training for officials, share experiences, and encourage interactions between their affiliated socio-political organizations.
Ndikuriyo said Vietnam is a development model for African countries, and expressed his hope that Vietnam will expand its presence and make greater practical contributions to peace, stability, and development in Africa.
The two agreed to expand cooperation in areas of mutual strength, including investment, telecommunications, agriculture, and energy, and agreed to urge relevant ministries and agencies to negotiate, sign, and implement cooperation agreements to strengthen the legal framework and facilitate bilateral cooperation.
