The two sides agreed to enhance high-level exchanges and leverage existing cooperation mechanisms while vigorously promoting economic, trade, and investment cooperation. They committed to facilitating market access for businesses from both countries and fostering deeper participation in regional and global supply chains.
Priority sectors include maritime transport, aviation, logistics, finance and banking, agriculture, renewable energy, science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
The two countries signed 10 cooperation documents in various fields, laying a stronger legal foundation for substantive cooperation.
Vietnam and Panama pledged to strengthen coordination in combating transnational crime, uphold multilateralism and the central role of the United Nations, and respect international law. Both affirmed the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS 1982) as the legal framework governing maritime activities.
Both sides expressed confidence that the visit will usher in a new phase of development for Vietnam–Panama relations, characterized by substantive, comprehensive, and sustainable cooperation.
