Speaking to reporters on the significance of Vietnam’s participation in the summit, Pradhan said Vietnam should consider BRICS a "strategic diversification tool", using it to expand markets, attract technology and investment, strengthen supply chain resilience, and increase its voice in global governance.
At the same time, he said, Vietnam should continue to make ASEAN the cornerstone of its foreign policy and maintain strong partnerships with the US, Japan, and Europe. On the economic front, Pradhan said, Vietnam should use BRICS to diversify its partners, attract more investment and technology, strengthen cooperation in critical minerals and supply-chain resilience, and engage proactively in digital transformation and AI initiatives.
He said Vietnam should use BRICS as a lever to diversify its diplomacy, remain steadfast in its non-alignment policy, and continue sending high-level delegations to BRICS summits to strengthen its ties with host India.
