According to a press release by Siemens Mobility, VinSpeed will construct the railway track and Siemens Mobility will deliver trains for two high-speed rail lines, including the 121-km Hanoi-Quang Ninh line and the 54-km Ben Thanh-Can Gio line in Ho Chi Minh City.
Late last year, the two companies signed a framework agreement, which said Siemens Mobility will supply 10 Velaro Novo trains, together with communications and electrification. Velaro Novo is designed with a wide-body profile and an "empty tube" structural concept.
Siemens Mobility will also support VinSpeed during technology transfer and research maintenance solutions.
