UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Wednesday extended Christmas greetings to the public and called on people to reflect on the core values that bind British society together.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier used his Christmas address to call on his people to "find a sense of direction by asking genuine questions, being open, engaging in dialogue, and taking joint action." He highlighted the importance of community and togetherness, adding that these are "glimmers of light when the world seems dark."
Steinmeier reiterated Berlin's solidarity with Ukrainians, and said Europeans "must become aware together once again of our strength and values." Those values include freedom, human dignity, just peace, and democratic self-determination.
