(VOVWORLD) - Nguyen Hoang Anh, a youngster from Hanoi, has worked hard to develop an art technique called “Hoa kim sa” (drawing using metal materials). She founded her Hoa Gam team to honor the beauty of Vietnamese culture and traditional art through this technique.

(VOVWORLD) - Bach Tuyet, 78, an artist of the Vietnamese folk music genre - cai luong or reformed opera, has been honored on Forbes’ ‘50 Over 50: Asia 2024’ list of influential Asia-Pacific women. Bach Tuyet was introduced by Forbes as a ‘household staple’ in Vietnam, famous for iconic cai luong performances. Her name was associated with many classic cai luong works during the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Tuyet has been called ‘a precious gem of Cai luong’.

(VOVWORLD) - La Van Hoa, an Thai ethnic minority person, is a pioneer in doing business in Han hamlet, Que Phong district, Nghe An province. At the age of 58, he was admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam. According to Hoa, being a Party member makes it easier for him to communicate the Party’s guidelines to the people to develop the homeland and have a better life.

(VOVWORLD) - Le Minh Duc, a 12th grader from Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, is one of 14 nominees as an Outstanding Young Citizen of Ho Chi Minh City 2023. Duc not only has excellent academic grades, but also has a lot of initiative in scientific research and robot manufacturing.

(VOVWORLD) - A brocade embroidery class has just been opened for Dao ethnic women in Son Duong commune, Ha Long city, in Quang Ninh province. The class is taught by Truong Thi Dong, a Dao Thanh Y artisan with a wish to keep the Dao’s brocade embroidery craft alive.

(VOVWORLD) - Preserving cultural values and traditions for future generations is a great concern of many people of the Bru-Van Kieu ethnic minority. Ho Cho, who lives in Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province, is one of them.

(VOVWORLD) - At the age of 85, Emeritus Artisan Luong Thiem Phu of Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province, is still passionate about making Tinh musical instruments. Phu and other artisans now teach the craft to young people so they can preserve the instrument, as well as the Then singing of the local Tay ethnic people.

(VOVWORLD) - Nguyen Thi Yen Ly of Ca Mau city has always done her best to live with her congenital muscular dystrophy. Her motto is “Physical disability is not scary, mental disability is what kills you”. Yen Ly has not only found personal success but has also helped many others in a similar situation.

(VOVWORLD) - Having worked as a software programmer in Hanoi for more than 10 years, Vu Duc Tuan quit his job and went to his hometown in the northern border province of Quang Ninh to work in aquaculture. Realizing that farmers had lots of difficulties in farm management, Tuan designed a software program that would not only increase productivity, but also give farmers access to high-tech agriculture and spread the start-up spirit to young people.

(VOVWORLD) - Every weekend, there is a special class for children with disabilities at Huong Lan pagoda in Hanoi’s suburban commune of Dong Son. The class was opened in 2007 by 50-year-old Le Thi Hoa, a teacher from Dong Son primary school.
