With the demand for natural and organic products increasing, Dong Thi Van Ha of Bac Kan city has come up with the idea of making soap, mooncakes, herbal tea, and many other products from fragrant winter melon. Ha has found new markets for local agricultural products and improved the local standard of living.

(VOVWORLD) - Emeritus artist Sang Set, a member of the Khmer group in the Mekong Delta province of Tra Vinh, was born in 1952. He is a theorist and researcher of Khmer culture and a theatre critic, and has contributed significantly to preserving and promoting Khmer culture.

(VOVWORLD) - Most Venerable Thach Ut has run O Chhuc pagoda in the Mekong Delta province of Tra Vinh for nearly 20 years. Thach Ut, who is also Chairman of the Association for Solidarity of Patriotic Monks in Tieu Can district, is respected by locals for being a dedicated monk and wholehearted for social work.

(VOVWORLD) - A victim of Agent Orange, war veteran Hoang Quang Minh of the northern province of Lang Son provides free medical exams to the locals. He is affectionately called “the Agent Orange doctor” by people in his locality.
