Quang, who builds Tinhs from a variety of woods and metals, is conscious of his role in helping to preserve Tay culture.

(VOVWORLD) - Ms. Duong Thi Kim Dung in district 3, Ho Chi Minh City, is known for her active participation in charity work and helping disadvantaged people over the past 30 years. She has also provided poor students with free accommodation.

(VOVWORLD) - UNESCO and the L’Oréal Foundation last month presented the L’Oréal-UNESCO International Rising Talent Award in 2022 for Dr. Ho Thi Thanh Van, a chemist who works at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment. Her research in developing new materials for the production of green hydrogen made Dr. Van one of 15 young female scientists to receive the award.

(VOVWORLD) - Ly Thi Thu Hien of the Khmer ethnic group in the Mekong Delta city of Soc Trang is a role model in husbandry in her locality. Hien now earns an income of 860 USD per month from raising cows.

Phung Xa silk village has struggled since Vietnam opened its economy to the outside world, but artisan Phan Thi Thuan has devoted her proud heart to preserving and promoting the traditional craft of her home village.
