(VOVWORLD) - Athlete Quang Thi Thu Nghia of the Thai ethnic group in Son La province won a gold medal at the World Pencak Silat held recently in Singapore. Nghia’s achievement helped Vietnam secure 2nd place among 60 participating countries.

(VOVWORLD) - Meritorious teacher Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa is the director of the Social Work Development and Research Center of the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Hoa has won a 2018 Vietnam Women’s Award for her great contribution to scientific research.

Cuong has improved many machines to produce better products at lower cost. He was recognized this year as one of the 10 most outstanding citizens of Hanoi.

(VOVWORLD) - At the age of 74, farmer Ho Van Sam of Son La province, is still busy as a bee-keeper. Sam now has more than 1,000 bee hives from which he earns tens of thousands of USD per year.
