The projects are part of the local initiative program funded by USAID worth 560 million USD. The 3-year water resource protection project began in March this year and is underway until July 2023.

Da Nang has identified the conservation of water resources, management of plastic wastes, and domestic waste sorting at a grassroots level as important criteria for turning Da Nang into an environmentally-friendly city.
