A blood donation drive was organized in Quan Su pagoda in Hanoi by the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha, the Vietnam Red Cross Society, and the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. More than 300 Buddhist dignitaries and followers and representatives of ministries, sectors and agencies donated blood on this occasion. A blood donation campaign and a ceremony to honor blood donors were held in Hai Phong the same day.
