It will run until September 15, 2026 with the theme "Working together to prevent vessels and fishermen from violating IUU regulations", as part of a nationwide “peak month” campaign against IUU fishing.
The emulation movement aims to raise awareness, responsibility, and political determination among officers and soldiers of the Naval Region 4 and promote effective implementation of the EC's recommendation against IUU fishing, towards lifting the EC's "yellow card".
At the launch on Monday, representatives from agencies and units in the Naval Region 4 signed an agreement to implement the emulation movement.
