(VOVWORLD) - The “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) program in Lao Cai province has helped boost the incomes of rural people. The program has proved particularly effective combined with tourism. VOV reports:

(VOVWORLD) - Since 2016 the Hanoi Agricultural Development Center has been developing supply chains for safe agricultural products. In 2019 it initiated a 2-year agricultural development plan. Hanoi's agricultural sector now leads the nation in building agricultural production chains.

(VOVWORLD) - With the largest rice-shrimp area in Vietnam, Ca Mau province has a great advantages in developing safe rice farming to meet export standards. Ca Mau has successfully built the "Thoi Binh safe rice" brand, which has been recognized by the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam. To further promote the brand, the province plans to build a safe rice material zone on shrimp farming land.

(VOVWORLD) - Son Dong commune in Ben Tre city has been paved. Its bamboo bridges have been replaced by reinforced concrete bridges, making it easier for cars to reach each hamlet. Spacious houses and schools have been built. These changes are part of an effort by the local Party Committee, government, and people to make Son Dong a new-style rural village and a model for Ben Tre province, the birthplace of the 1960 Uprising.

(VOVWORLD) - Located about 30 km from Hanoi, Long Thuong Village in Hung Yen Province is renowned for its bronze casting products - tripod cauldrons, incense-burners and flower vases.

(VOVWORLD) - Ba Ria-Vung Tau is a good place for aquaculture development. Many high-tech aquaculture models have been profitable here. This will be the province’s future development direction.

(VOVWORLD) - Located in Que town, Ha Nam province, Quyet Thanh pottery village was established in the 16th century. The only pottery village in Ha Nam was busy in the 1960s when all the local households were engaged in the craft. Merchants along the Day River often say they like to pass through Que town to enjoy the scent of the local ceramic products.

(VOVWORLD) - Over the years, people in Long An province have donated much of their land for road construction. In Vinh Dai commune, Tan Hung district, alone, the locals have voluntarily given more than 6ha of land to make the Kenh Lo Ngang road wider and straighter, helping to connect the communes in Tan Hung with each other and with roads in neighboring Dong Thap province.

(VOVWORLD) - The Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre over the past 4 years has successfully developed value chains for its 8 key agricultural products in accordance with the provincial Party Committee’s resolution. A new production model has ensured biosafety and increased the competitiveness of local specialty fruits, while meeting export demand and boosting farmers’ profits.

(VOVWORLD) - According to the Southern Hydrometeorology Station, the water level at the riverhead of the Tien River in An Giang province is 2.7 meters and 2.56 meters on the Hau River. The levels are this year’s flooding peak forecast but will likely be lower than the average level in previous years, even lower than the record low set in 2019. Farmers in An Giang are waiting for floodwaters to allow them to earn a living.
