(VOVWORLD) - The Voice of Vietnam Awards is held annually to honor excellent writers, quality works of journalism, technology, and scientific research, among others. This year the Awards highlighted journalistic works honoring Vietnam’s fighting spirit against COVID-19.

(VOVWORLD) - With a great passion for the culture of Cham ethnic people, many people in Binh Thuan province in south-central Vietnam have done their best to preserve and promote Cham heritages. Monk Thuong Xuan Huu of Tuy Phong district and Uc Viet Vong of Bac Binh district are two good examples.

(VOVWORLD) - There has been a growing interest in ancient costumes in Vietnam over recent years. Out of a desire to preserve Vietnamese culture, more and more people are wearing ancient costumes on special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, and Lunar New Year, or for yearbook photos.

(VOVWORLD) - A special class to eradicate illiteracy is open from Monday to Friday at the cultural house in Binh Lieu district, Quang Ninh province. The class is for ethnic minority people and adults who work during the day time and must study in the evening.

(VOVWORLD) - Over the past 2 years, the COVID-19 pandemic has considerably changed people’s lives and habits. One effect has been the spirit of sharing.

(VOVWORLD) - Since it began one year ago, “VOV Live-Story reading” channel has attracted more than 100,000 followers, enough to earn a silver button on YouTube. It now has attracted 24 million views around the world.

(VOVWORLD) - “Ho khoan” Le Thuy, a genre of Vietnamese folk music from Le Thuy district, in the central province of Quang Binh, was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2017. Since then, local people have worked harder to keep “ho khoan” singing alive.

(VOVWORLD) - With 60 members of different ages, Sac Cham is the largest club for Then singing and playing the stringed musical instrument called the Tinh After 3 years since its establishment, the club has helped promote Then – the unique folk genre practiced by the Tay and Nung ethnic minority groups in Vietnam’s northeastern region.

(VOVWORLD) - Revolutionary songs hold a special place in Vietnam’s musical history. Many songwriters including Nguyen Dinh Thi and Xuan Oanh have used music to reflect the country’s historical milestones.
