(VOVWORLD) - Y Ngong Nie Kdam secondary school in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak is offering students the opportunity to play the gong and demonstrate their ethnic culture after the flag-raising ceremony each Monday. This is part of efforts to nurture the students’ passion for their culture.

They exchanged experiences about performin the bamboo gong, also known as Ching kram, a traditional musical instrument of the Ede ethnic group in the Central Highlands.

The cultural space of Central Highlands gong has been recognized by UNESCO as a “Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity”.
