(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese music is incredibly diverse thanks to the existence of dozens of ethnic minorities. Authorities at all levels are doing their best to promote ethnic minority musical genres, to prevent them from falling into oblivion.

(VOVWORLD) - A fusion concert featuring traditional music and beatboxing by artist Ngô Hồng Quang took place at the French Cultural Center in Hanoi on the last day of June to debut his album “Nam Nhi” (Macho). This is Quang’s latest album after “Hanoi Duo” which was co-produced in 2017 by Quang and Vietnamese French jazz artist Nguyen Le.

(VOVWORLD) - Dong Ho paintings or Vietnamese woodblock prints refers to Vietnamese folk art originating in Dong Ho Village, Bac Ninh Province, with a history spanning hundreds of years. The folk art was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2013. Vietnamese authorities are compiling a dossier to seek UNESCO recognition of Dong Ho paintings as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity that needs urgent safeguarding.

(VOVWORLD) - The national ritual singing (Hat Van) festival took place in Thua Thien-Hue province in late April as part of the 2018 Hue Festival. The event promotes the traditional singing accompanying Mother Goddesses worship, which was recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Thu Hoa reports....
