The “Creative Youth” movement, launched by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, is aligned with Politburo Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. Youth organizations are encouraging members to propose ideas and initiatives, apply new technologies, and engage in digital transformation.
Programs such as “Digital Literacy for All” and “AI Popularization for Youth” are helping people access online public services and inspiring a wide range of innovative models and products. Young people played a major role in digital applications to support the National Assembly and People’s Councils election on March 15.
Dao Duc Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, said: “We’ve developed AI-powered video clips to explain voting procedures, timelines, and key election content. Traditionally, this information can be quite dry and hard for young people to engage with. But by using animated AI and other creative formats, it becomes much more accessible and appealing.”
A variety of scientific projects and AI applications developed by young innovators have addressed real-world challenges. From research labs to factories and farms, processes are being automated.
Dang Le Minh Hoang of Binh Phuoc province said: “I studied automation in France and Japan. Farmers now use this technology, combined with ecological farming models, from cultivation and livestock farming through processing and deep processing to selling their products. This allows them to bring products from farm to table more efficiently.”
Programs supporting youth in education, employment, entrepreneurship, life skills, physical development, and cultural and spiritual well-being have delivered tangible results.
Bui Quang Huy, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, said: “Most labor and innovation models within the Youth Union were created at the grassroots level. The Central Committee’s role is to identify, refine, upgrade, and scale them up, so grassroots youth officials are extremely important. Youth Union activities largely depend on what happens at the local level.”
2026 marks the 95th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, which is undergoing a radical transformation to lead in a new era where young people are at the forefront, helping realize national development goals.
