Kampuchea Thmey Daily ran an article titled “Vietnam’s Top Leaders Commit to Economic Growth Above 10 Percent Despite Global Challenges.” The article quoted Party General Secretary To Lam as noting that the Congress is taking place amid numerous difficulties, from natural disasters to epidemics, but affirming Vietnam’s continued efforts to streamline the administrative apparatus, reform governance, expand international trade, and strengthen internal capacity to safeguard national independence and interests.

The newspaper also commented that although US President Donald Trump imposed a 20 percent tariff on Vietnamese goods, Vietnam’s exports to the US have continued to grow, while the country is actively expanding trade with other partners.

Cambodia’s FRESH News published an analysis noting that despite global trade instability, Vietnam has set a target of at least 10 percent annual GDP growth for the 2026–2030 period, emphasizing a new growth model with the private sector as a key driver and the state sector playing a leading role.

Cambodia’s National Television (TVK) reported that the Congress officially opened in Hanoi with 1,586 delegates representing more than 5.6 million Party members nationwide, and will discuss and adopt key documents while electing the 14th Party Central Committee.
