Southwest islanders confident in breakthroughs made at 14th Party Congress

(VOVWORLD) - These days, officers, soldiers, Party members, and residents on Nam Du island, Kien Hai special zone, An Giang province, are closely following the 14th National Party Congress, and expressing strong confidence in its success and breakthroughs.

Located about 100 km from the mainland, Nam Du island has grown steadily in recent years with improved infrastructure and people’s better life.

Teacher Pham Ha, Principal of An Son Primary School in Kien Hai special zone, said: “As a Party member and a citizen, I have great confidence in the success of the 14th National Party Congress which will create economic breakthroughs. We expect greater attention paid to people in remote, border regions, and especially island communes, to help promote sustainable economic development.”

Captain Ho Xuan Truong, Political Commissar of Radar Station 625, Regiment 551, Naval Region 5, currently stationed on Tien Hai island commune, said he believes the 14th National Party Congress will implement stronger innovations in national governance and human development to ensure sustainable national development.

“Under the Party’s leadership, the education system will continue to further develop, contributing to the comprehensive development of the Vietnamese people,” Truong noted.
