During the three-day trip, the leaders of Vietnam and the UK issued a joint statement, announcing the elevation of the relationship between the two countries to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Party leader Lam’s visit took place on the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-UK Strategic Partnership, an important milestone for the two countries to look back on past cooperation and set out a new vision and development orientation for bilateral relations.
