Speaking with a VOV reporter in Beijing, Xu said the 14th National Party Congress marks a milestone as Vietnam enters a new era. According to Xu, the development path and cooperation orientation set out by the 14th National Party Congress will help Vietnam integrate more deeply into regional supply chains, laying a foundation for Vietnam to enhance its regional influence within the RCEP framework.
"What impresses me most is Vietnam’s long-term goal of becoming a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle income by 2030, and a developed, high-income country by 2045. This goal is grounded in Vietnam’s current development and demonstrates confidence in the future and a determination to achieve lasting prosperity through structural reforms," said Mr. Xu Ningning.
Regarding Vietnam’s foreign policy mentioned at the 14th National Party Congress, Mr. Xu Ningning said: "After 40 years of national renewal, Vietnam has made a remarkable leap in its international standing, becoming one of the countries with the most extensive diplomatic networks in Southeast Asia."
"Vietnam has established strategic partnerships with major powers around the world, ranks among the top 15 countries globally in trade volume, stands second within the ASEAN, and has become an important link in regional supply chains. Vietnam has participated in multilateral mechanisms like ASEAN and the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation, demonstrating the vitality of an emerging economy while making significant contributions to maintaining regional peace and stability, as well as promoting trade liberalization," added Mr. Xu.
Mr. Xu highly praised Vietnam’s target of achieving economic growth of over 10% in 2026, while noting that Vietnam needs to strengthen industrial connectivity with partners in the region, including China.
