(VOVWORLD) - Vu Van Tung, a teacher at Dinh Nup Primary and Secondary School in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai was one of the outstanding individuals honored at the 2024 Vietnam Glory program on May 19 in Hanoi. Over the past 10 years Tung has helped many students in difficult circumstances.

(VOVWORLD) - People’s Artist Tuong Vi was a leading figure in Vietnam’s revolutionary music. Her songs reflect her enthusiasm and great love for the homeland. Vi was also known for her kindheartedness. She established music classes for disabled and orphaned children and provided them with a music and art education. Tuong Vi passed away earlier this month at the age of 86.

(VOVWORLD) - While studying for a Master’s degree in the UK, teacher Nguyen Huong Thao made a year-long odyssey to 41 countries on 4 continents (Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas) and still graduated with excellent grades. At every place she visited, Thao inspired the local women with her positive energy, encouraged them to be more self-confident in life, and contributed to changing perceptions of the role of women in society.

(VOVWORLD) - For painter Do Nhu Diem, the Dien Bien Phu Victory in 1954 is an endless source of inspiration. Diem wondered how to make this historic milestone continue to shine for generations and remind younger generations of patriotism and national pride. He has included these things in his paintings for over 20 years.

(VOVWORLD) - With great creativity, teacher Dinh Cong Tuyen of Song Khoai secondary school in Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh province, has created many unique paintings from scallop shells. The paintings send a message of environmental protection.

(VOVWORLD) - Vu Thi Le Thuy, Director of the Cao Phong 3T Agricultural Product Cooperative, is an outstanding agricultural role model in Cao Phong town, Hoa Binh province. Hard-working and creative, Thuy started a business growing and trading oranges, and eventually established the 3T Farm brand.

(VOVWORLD) - Ban Sinh Luong, a Dao ethnic person, is a prestigious person in Thong Nhat ward, Hoa Binh City. He was chosen to be the head of the residential area and Chairman of Thong Nhat ward’s Elderly Association.

(VOVWORLD) - 34-year-old Captain Le The Van works at the Department of Cyber Security and Hi-Tech Crime Prevention under the Ministry of Public Security. Van won a Vietnamese Outstanding Young Face Award for his outstanding achievements in 2023.

(VOVWORLD) - Architect Dinh Viet Phuong, the author of the ‘Dragon Land” comic books, won a bronze award at the 2012 Japan International Manga Awards hosted by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2004, Phuong, along with the 3D Art Corporation, embarked on a journey of digitizing cultural heritages.

(VOVWORLD) - Artist Van Chuong, head of the Music Department of the Voice of Vietnam, is one of 125 artists who have been recently awarded the title of People’s Artist. Chuong is honored for his outstanding contribution to Vietnam’s arts and culture, especially the Cheo (traditional opera) art form.
