Fishermen learned about Vietnam's 2017 Fisheries Law, vessel monitoring systems, fishing logbooks, and port entry and exit procedures. Officials also provided guidance on preventing accidents, handling emergencies, and working with rescue teams at sea.

Dong Van Thi, a fisherman from Phu Thuy ward, said: “After attending today's session, I understand that we must follow the fishing regulations, avoid fishing in waters where it’s prohibited, and make sure all fishing activities are legal.”

In the coming months, the Lam Dong Border Guard will continue working with local authorities to raise awareness of fisheries laws in coastal communities, promote sustainable fishing, and support Vietnam's efforts to meet the European Commission's recommendations on combating IUU fishing.
