Overseas Vietnamese engage in national nuclear power program

[VOVWORLD] - Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung has reaffirmed the crucial role of nuclear energy in ensuring energy security, fulfilling international commitments, and helping Vietnam achieve its net-zero emissions target by 2050.

[VOVWORLD] - Vietnam is seeking to expand cooperation with Bulgaria in the field of nuclear energy, particularly in human resource development, scientific research, and the sharing of operational and management expertise, Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet said at the annual international workshop titled “Bulgarian Nuclear Energy – National, Regional and Global Energy Security,” held in Varna from June 10 to 12.

[VOVWORLD] - Vietnamese Ambassador to Austria Vu Le Thai Hoang emphasized the importance of ensuring a balance between the three pillars of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), which are disarmament, non-proliferation, and the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

[VOVWORLD] - Vietnam underscored the central in global nuclear governance, particularly in promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy, ensuring safety and security, and implementing safeguards to improve transparency and trust.

[VOVWORLD] - Vietnam on Monday presided over the opening session of the 11th Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) in New York.
