Russia’s TASS news agency said investigators are still looking into the cause of the crash in the Amur Region.
The An-24 aircraft lost contact at around 1 p.m. on Thursday while flying from Khabarovsk, and crashed just a few kilometers from Tynda Airport. According to Russian emergency services, 46 people were on board, including two children and six crew members. In a conflicting report, Amur Governor Vasily Orlov said there were 43 passengers on the plane, including five children.
