"I also agreed with President Xi that we would meet at the APEC Summit in South Korea, that I would go to China in the early part of next year, and that President Xi would likewise come to the United States at an appropriate time," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

President Trump said that he spoke with President Xi about a range of issues, including trade, the conflict in Ukraine and a deal to approve the sale of TikTok.

Xinhua News Agency said Friday that in the phone call with President Trump, President Xi said “the US side should avoid taking unilateral trade restrictions to prevent undermining the achievements made by both sides through multiple rounds of consultations.”

Xi said “China's position on the TikTok issue is clear, adding that the Chinese government respects the wishes of the company in question and is glad to see business negotiations in line with market rules and a solution that conforms to Chinese laws and regulations and takes into account the interests of both sides.”
