The event aims to promote the image of Dien Bien, while fostering tourism cooperation between the six provinces of the expanded Northwest Region and Ho Chi Minh City.
This is an opportunity for tourists to gain more experiences, explore the natural beauty and culture of ethnic groups, and foster love for their homeland and national pride, Vice President Xuan said.
“It is recommended that central commissions, ministries and sectors support and create favorable conditions for localities, including the Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, to develop rapid and sustainable tourism. Domestic and foreign enterprises research, survey, propose and implement investment projects of a reasonable scale as a driving force to boost Northwestern tourism worthy of its potential and advantages,” she added.

During the three-day festival, there will be street events, conference on promoting, advertising and developing tourism, northwest culinary festival, "Colors of the Northwest" tourism photo exhibition, and display of destinations of the extended Northwest provinces, Ho Chi Minh City and some other localities.
