At a ceremony to mark Petrovietnam’s 50th founding anniversary on Sunday, Mr. Hung said Petrovietnam has contributed to global petroleum science with technologies such as oil extraction from basement rock, the manufacturing of self-elevating drilling rigs, and graphene synthesis. The group has also developed a team of highly qualified leaders, managers, scientists, and experts.

Petrovietnam aims to become one of the world’s 500 largest enterprises by 2030. The group will also focus on developing science, technology, and innovation, targeting 25% of revenue from this sector. Petrovietnam plans to expand cooperation, investment, exports, and international business, striving for 30% of revenue from overseas markets.
