In his address at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York, on Tuesday, Ambassador Viet shared the successful implementation of the “One UN” initiative in Vietnam, which is useful experience for the current reform process. He called on developed countries to fully honor their financial commitments, support technology transfer and capacity building for developing countries to build sustainable infrastructure and industries.
He also stressed that the UN Economic and Social Council should play a greater role in advancing global partnerships to scale up innovative solutions, especially those that leverage emerging technologies.
The High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) is the central United Nations platform for the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
