South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff of South Korea is currently analyzing detailed parameters of the launch.
This was North Korea’s seventh ballistic missile test this year and the fourth in April alone. South Korea’s National Security Office is expected to convene an emergency meeting with officials from the Ministry of National Defense and other relevant agencies to assess the situation the same day.
Meanwhile, the Government of Japan stated that the missiles appeared to have landed outside Japan’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). Tokyo lodged a strong protest with Pyongyang, condemning the launches as a threat to regional and international peace and security.
Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has instructed relevant agencies to intensify information gathering and ensure the safety of aircraft and maritime operations.
