The event was held by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs and Thai Nguyen province’s People’s Committee. Mr. Nguyen Hoanh Nam, Vice Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, said: “This is an opportunity for overseas Vietnamese all over the world to return to their homeland and learn more about Vietnam’s history and culture. Young overseas Vietnamese will join activities to pay tribute to their predecessors and national heroes”.

There were art exchanges between young overseas Vietnamese and young people in Thai Nguyen province. Michael Chung from Germany who sang a song called “Return to the homeland” said:

“I think the song is meaningful to those who were born and grew up overseas like me. The song always reminds me of the homeland, Vietnam”.

The Summer Camp will feature various activities held across Vietnam.
