The East Sea situation emerges in the ASEAN-Japan Forum.

(VOVworld) – Senior officials from Japan and ASEAN gathered in Tokyo on Thursday to discuss tensions between China and certain ASEAN members caused by territorial disputes in the East Sea. They acknowledged progress in cooperation in maritime security, disaster prevention, and economic connectivity, and discussed preparations for the up-coming ASEAN-Japan Summit to be held on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit in Myanmar in November.
