(VOVWORLD) - Durian growers in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak are preparing for this year’s main harvest season, coinciding with the signing of a protocol on phytosanitary requirements for Vietnamese durian to enter the Chinese market via official channels. Tuan Anh has the story.

(VOVWORLD) -Dried Siamese gourami in U Minh forest, also known as U Minh dried snakeskin gourami, a famous culinary product of Ca Mau province, has been granted a collective brand certificate. This food has been an increasingly sought after delicacy, especially when it’s produced to OCOP standards.

(VOVWORLD) - Thick banana trees have been associated with the people of Muong La district, Son La province, for years and have stabilized their incomes and lives. In recent years, Muong La thick bananas have penetrated new markets, thanks to the locals’ dynamism and creativity. New products have been made from the tree trunks, opening new livelihoods for the locals.

(VOVWORLD) - Changing their way of thinking, many farmers, cooperatives, and businesses in Dak Lak have linked with each other in production. The links have helped farmers feel secure in creating new products, helped cooperatives expand the scale of their operation, and given businesses a stable supply of goods for the market. The links between production, processing, and sales is proving effective in making agriculture more sustainable.

(VOVWORLD) - The “All people unite to build new-style rural and civilized urban areas” campaign has spread widely across Son La province over the years thanks to the involvement of farmers' associations at all levels. The locals have applied technical advancements in agriculture to improve their living standards. Son La is gradually developing a modern rural area with civilized farmers.

(VOVWORLD) - Farmers and businesses in the Central Highlands are cooperating to create certified fruit growing areas where product quality and uniformity is ensured. This is making local agriculture more profitable and more sustainable.

(VOVWORLD) - Yen Chau is a fruit growing district of Son La province. Many of its products - mango, longan, banana, and plum - have been exported. Yen Chau has developed fruit tree zones of organic farming and applied Vietnamese Good Agricultural Practices (VietGAP) standards to the production process to ensure a stable output, improve the quality, and meet the strict requirements of the export market.

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the German Development Cooperation Agency (GIZ) have jointly sponsored the Vietnam Green Innovation Center in Agriculture and Food Project (GIC Vietnam) in an effort to improve agriculture in the Mekong Delta region. Kien Giang, one of six program participants from 2020 to 2024, has been trying to improve its agriculture value chains, specifically rice and mango.

(VOVWORLD) - Many new-style cooperative models in Son La have proved effective in scale expansion and improvement in production, trading efficiency and connection with businesses for product sales. The achievement is attributed to local farmers’ efforts to renovate ways of thinking thus contributing to increasing their income.

(VOVWORLD) -Beekeeping is a traditional profession in U Minh Ha forest in Ca Mau province. It has been recognized as a national heritage. Today young people are using high tech to preserve and develop the profession.
