(VOVWORLD) - Flowers are indispensable for a Vietnamese family when Tet, Vietnam’s traditional Lunar New Year, arrives. From north to south, there are many villages growing flowers and many flower markets selling them. Though people in different regions prefer different flowers, the most popular and beloved Tet flowers are peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, orchids, roses, kumquat trees, and ornamental trees.

(VOVWORLD) - Buoc hamlet in Kham Xoe village, Hoa Binh province, is famous for its unspoiled natural landscape and primitive Thai ethnic minority population. Since it became an ecological and community tourism area in 2007, the hamlet has been attracting a growing number of visitors.

(VOVWORLD) - Chuyen My village on the outskirts of Hanoi is famous for mother-of-pearl inlays. Of all the seven hamlets practice the traditional craft, Chuon Ngo has the oldest pearl inlay history - more than 1,000 years.

(VOVWORLD) - Traditional craft villages in Vietnam are increasingly attracting tourists thanks to the long-standing culture and signature products. Craft village tourism will bring economic benefits, create jobs, and preserve tradition.

(VOVWORLD) - Litchi growers in Luc Ngan, Bac Giang province, made a fortune thanks to a bumper harvest last year. Farming households in Mieng Thuong village of Hanoi’s outlying district of Ung Hoa saw exceptional profit for engaging in trade. These were a case in point of Vietnam’s rural scene last year. The connection among farmers, businesses, scientists, and the state, as well as farmers and businesses in agricultural production has proven efficient for economic development.

(VOVWORLD) - Moc Chau district in Son La province attracts visitors by its natural landscape and the unique cultural practices of local ethnic minority groups such as brocade weaving. Currently brocade products made by local artisans with diverse designs and delicate patterns have been welcomed by domestic and foreign tourists. The most distinctive items include “Pieu” scarf, bags, curtains, and “ao com”, the traditional costume of Thai women.

(VOVWORLD) - The “Quintessence of the Vietnamese craft village” project has been under way at Bat Trang village for a past year and will be completed late next year. It will be a place to introduce and promote the best of Vietnamese craft villages to domestic and foreign visitors.

(VOVWORLD) - The "One Commune One Product" program originated from Japan’s Oita village more than 30 years ago. This movement has achieved great success and has spread to many other countries. In May this year, Vietnam’s Prime Minister approved nationwide implementation of the very similar “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) program. Vietnamese craft villages are now developing their principal product in line with the OCOP program.

(VOVWORLD) - Can Ty village in Quan Ba district, Ha Giang province, is famous for flax growing and weaving. Villagers don’t know exactly when the craft emerged but at present local women with deft hands make brocade dresses and many other products to serve the needs of locals and tourists who want purchase a souvenir.

(VOVWORLD) - Located 10km southeast of Phan Rang City, My Nghiep village is the cradle of brocade weaving of the Cham ethnic people.
