(VOVWORLD) - Pali-Khmer High School was the first school in Tra Vinh province to train Khmer ordinary studentsand monks. Established in 2014, it plays an important role in improving the quality of education for ethnic people in the Mekong Delta region.

(VOVWORLD) - The economy of the ethnic community in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum is struggling because of limited investment in development and infrastructure. To improve the situation Kon Tum province has implemented a number of projects to help people escape poverty sustainably, including lending programs by social policy banks.

(VOVWORLD) - Teaching Khmer language at Khmer Theravada Buddhist pagodas has long been a tradition in the Mekong Delta province of Tra Vinh. All pagodas in the province have Khmer language classes for people of ethnicities, genders, ages, and religious faiths.

(VOVWORLD) - 80% of the population in the northern birder province of Lang Son are Tay, Nung, Dao, Hoa, San Chay, and Mong, who speak their ethnic languages and practice different customs and cultures. This causes a lot of difficulties for administrative work. Since 2015 Lang Son authorities have regularly organized classes on ethnic languages for local administrators.

(VOVWORLD) - Lao Cai province has 50 national and provincial cultural relic sites and 40 national intangible cultural heritages. Some of them were added to UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This is the foundation for Lao Cai to develop various types of tourism.

(VOVWORLD) - 96% of the population in Binh Lieu district, the northern border province of Quang Ninh, belongs to an ethnic minority. Ten years ago they made a living growing rice, raising animals, and exploiting forest products. Then in2015 Binh Lieu started attracting tourists. Visitors were all day-trippers because there were no local accommodations for an overnight stay. But that’s changing as local women have begun developing eco-tourism and cultural tourism to take advantage of the local natural beauty and ethnic culture.

(VOVWORLD) - The Dao art troupe of Pieng Sang hamlet, Phieng Luong commune, is famous not only in Son La province but also at art festivals of ethnic groups. They regularly perform at traditional ceremonies and for tourists to promote Dao’s culture.

(VOVWORLD) - Meritorious artist Cam Vui of the Thai ethnic group in Muong La district, Son La province, is well known for his dedication to Thai ethnic culture. Over the years, he has made tireless efforts to preserve local folk tunes.

(VOVWORLD) - The northern province of Tuyen Quang is the only locality in Vietnam that gathers all Dao branches, including Dao Do, Dao Tien, and Dao Quan Chet. They have a rich cultural life with a number of age-old festivals and customs. VOV today introduces the traditional wedding of the Dao Do.

(VOVWORLD) - The custom of twinning two persons of different blood lines as brothers is popular in Vietnam. For the Mnong in the central province of Dak Lak, the twinning ceremony ties the two persons and their families.
