(VOVWORLD) - Although brocade products of the Ede ethnic minority in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak are not totally hand-made now, they still retain many old patterns. Each design has its own meaning and symbolism, which the Ede have passed down to their offspring by hands-on apprenticeships. The weaver can freely promote their creativity in production.

Each year, from the 15th day of the 9th lunar month to the next full-moon day, Theravada Buddhist Khmer people in Vietnam’s southern region joyfully celebrate the Kathina ceremony to pray for happiness, peace, favorable weather, and a bumper crop by offering robes and other items to Buddhist monks.
