With the theme “A Green Journey,” the program reflected Hanoi’s intention to develop sustainable tourism in harmony with nature, link heritage preservation with innovation, and place visitors’ experiences and satisfaction at the center.

Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, said: “Hanoi’s tourism will focus on green, circular and sustainable development and strengthen regional connectivity, international cooperation, and digital transformation. ‘Green Tourism Journey’ shows Hanoi’s sense of responsibility to the ancestors’ heritage, today’s living environment, and future generations. It spells out the belief that Hanoi can become a leading destination for green tourism, cultural tourism, and experiential tourism coupled with historical, cultural, and artistic values.”

A highlight of the program was the introduction of a list of 80 tourism products for 2026. Three new certified tourist sites are the Hanoi Botanical Garden, the Thiet Ung fine woodcraft village, and the Thuy Lam tourist site.

Dinh My Hanh, Director of the Hanoi Botanical Garden, said: “Our orientation is to develop tourism closely linked with preservation of plant species and biodiversity. We’ll organize nature-based educational activities such as discovery of forests and plant species, a coffee museum, and circular agricultural methods.”

“A Green Journey” program offered a West Lake lotus tea tasting, exhibitions showcasing Hanoi’s tourism products, tours to craft villages, an event introducing the Mong ethnic group’s New Year celebration, and the Gia Lai Tourism Festival in Hanoi.
