As the Lunar New Year 2026 draws closer, the Spring Fair taking place at the National Exposition Center in Hanoi, is getting very busy. Visitors will find everything they need for their Tet holiday, from food to local craft specialties.

Duong Thi My Duyen, of the Tien Hai Dried Shrimp and Fish Company of Vinh Long province, said: "We bring here our products and information about Vinh Long’s raw material areas, processing methods, and culinary identity. As our products are made using local labor and sourced directly from fishermen, quality and pricing are assured."

Many businesses are hopeful of expanding their market. Tran Thien Tuan represents Tan Nhien Company, Ltd., an enterprise showcasing 5-star “One Commune One Product” items from Tay Ninh province.

Tuan said: "We’re presenting rice paper, a variety of salts and spices, and our 5-star OCOP products. We hope consumers will learn about OCOP’s 5-star standards and the quality of Tay Ninh rice paper. Our products are already distributed through supermarket systems and other sales channels in 13 northern provinces and cities. Participating in this fair will help us connect directly with consumers and expand our distribution network."

A key feature of this first Spring Fair is close integration of exhibited products with trade connectivity programs, opening opportunities for Vietnamese goods to enter modern distribution channels. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said: "As Vietnam’s economy enters a new stage, internal growth has been identified as a crucial factor. To sustain long-term economic development, the principle of ‘Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods’ is no longer merely a choice, it’s the responsibility of every citizen. We hope that Spring Fair 2026 will foster trust, respect, and pride in Vietnamese products, advancing the campaign ‘Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods.’
