At a meeting with a delegation of outstanding overseas Vietnamese participating in the “Homeland Spring 2026” program in Hanoi on Sunday, the Party General Secretary noted that in recent years, the Party and the State have consistently paid close attention to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Vietnamese, helping them stabilize their lives, integrate deeply into host countries, and preserve and promote Vietnam’s traditional cultural identity.
At the same time, the Party and the State have always listened to and valued the opinions and contributions of overseas Vietnamese in the process of national policymaking, particularly policies related to overseas Vietnamese affairs.

He expressed his hope that overseas compatriots would continue to play their role as bridges in strengthening friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and other countries.
He also voiced his confidence that Vietnamese people at home and abroad would further uphold their patriotism, resilience and aspirations for development, thereby consolidating the strength of the great national unity bloc, the most important foundation for ensuring political stability, socio-economic development, and the firm protection of national independence and sovereignty from an early stage and from afar.

The Party and the State will continue to refine policies for overseas Vietnamese and enhance international cooperation to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, enabling them to live and work in their host countries.”
