The patient suspected of suffering from the COVID-19 is known as a 23-year-old man of Me Tri ward in Nam Tu Liem who is a staff member of a pizza restaurant on Tran Thai Tong street in Cau Giay district. He regularly travels to Da Nang and accompanied by 29 people between July 12 and 15.

He started to display symptoms of the virus such as a cough and fever on July 23, later testing positive for the SARS-CoV-2 once on July 29.

Local authorities were quick to disinfect the home belonging to the suspected case in Me Tri ward of Nam Tu Liem district.

A temporary lockdown has now been imposed throughout the area.

A number of people have been advised to follow quarantine measures at home.
