The meeting, themed “Reaffirming commitments, uniting to create a bright future for global development", was held as part of the High-Level Debate of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly.
During his speech, Deputy PM Son praised the GDI’s role in mobilizing resources and strengthening international cooperation to achieve sustainable development goals. To achieve this goal, Son proposed promoting multilateralism and the central role of the UN in responding to global challenges, ensuring green transition and digital transformation to serve all countries and all people, and prioritizing the promotion of overall digital connectivity on land, air, and sea.
Deputy Prime Minister Son also met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Pakistani Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
