In Gia Lai province, rainfall has decreased and floodwater has retreated. However, water levels in many places remained high, posing a risk of re-flooding if heavy rain returns. The local authorities have advised residents not to return home yet.

As torrential rains are still reported several wards in Dak Lak province, emergency forces are racing through the night to rescue residents.

Ta Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Dak Lak provincial People's Committee, said: "There were locations where we nearly reached the residents, but finally could not get through. Armed forces used various means, including high-powered canoes, but it remained impossible to access. Tonight and tomorrow, we will continue trying to reach these areas. We request further support from the Ministry of National Defense to prepare post-flood measures to prevent disease outbreaks."

On Friday night, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh led a government delegation to direct flood response and recovery efforts in Dak Lak.
