The ceremony drew thousands of monks, nuns, Buddhist followers, local residents, and visitors from nationwide.
Tran Van Hoang, a Buddhist follower from Hue city, said, "I feel a sense of purity and lightness in my soul after attending the Festival at Ngu Hanh Son. Each year I join the ceremony and find greater inner peace, praying for every person, every family, and the entire nation to be blessed with serenity."
2026 marks the fourth year the festival has been held on a citywide scale, cementing its status as a cultural highlight of Da Nang and an increasingly attractive spiritual tourism offering for both domestic and international visitors.
According to Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Deputy Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee, "The Festival serves as a focal point for faith and spirituality, while also acting as a bridge for friendship and cultural exchange between regions, and between Vietnam and international partners. It helps promote Da Nang as a civilized, friendly city rich in cultural identity."
This year’s Avalokitesvara Festival runs from last Saturday through Tuesday.
