It is initiated by the Au Lac AI Alliance with sponsorship from FPT Corporation. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Alliance and FPT Chairman, said, "We urgently need to develop sovereign AI — a field long dominated by major powers. To safeguard our sovereignty in the digital era, we must master AI. If our programmers rely solely on international solutions to build products, our core technology will remain beyond our borders."

Submissions are open until July 31. The preliminary and final rounds will take place from August to October, with the award ceremony expected in November.
