Lawmakers name new Deputy PMs, Vice NA Chairmen

(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly on Tuesday approved the appointment of Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, and Head of the Party Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission Mai Van Chinh as Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term. State President Luong Cuong later handed over the appointment decisions.

With this, the government now consists of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and seven Deputy Prime Ministers.

Lawmakers also elected Vu Hong Thanh, former Chairman of the National Assembly’s Economic Committee, and Le Minh Hoan, former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, as Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly.

The leadership of the 15th National Assembly now includes Chairman Tran Thanh Man and six Vice Chairpersons.
