[VOVWORLD] - About 1,000 cyclists and cycling enthusiasts across Vietnam are participating in the “Cycling for Peace” event which opened Saturday morning in Quang Tri province as part of the 2026 Festival for Peace.
The two-day event includes a flag-raising ceremony at the Hien Luong-Ben Hai special national relic site, a cycling parade, a visit to the Vinh Linh Martyrs’ Cemetery, and support for 50 disadvantaged families and Agent Orange victims.
Organizers have invited delegations from China, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand to take part, in a move aimed at boosting regional exchange and connectivity.

From her first encounter with a local family at the border to her early days cycling through Hanoi, Arezoo has found strong cultural connections and a shared philosophy of “slow life.” She spoke with VOV about her journey, her values, and the bridges she is building along the way.
